This is the private character tool for One Shot RP tables, at play.oneshotrp.com. It is a separate thing from the shop and the main site, and this notice covers only the tool.
What Google tells us
When you sign in, Google passes us your name and your email address. That is all we take, and all we keep. We never see your Google password, and we do not ask Google for your contacts, your calendar, your profile picture, or anything else.
We use Google sign-in so that there is no extra password for you to invent, and none for us to store.
The name from Google is only a starting point. You can change what the table calls you straight away, in Settings, and once you have set a name yourself, you control it completely in Settings — signing in again later will not quietly put your Google name back.
What you create here
If you join a table, you can build a character. That record holds whatever you type into it — a name, an occupation, a background, your VRChat handle, two secrets, safety notes, and an optional portrait.
Who can see it
- Your DM sees your character, including both secrets and your safety notes. That is the point of writing them.
- Other players at your table may what the sheet shows in play. Your secrets stay sealed until they are revealed in the fiction, and your safety notes and your session logs are never shown to them at all.
- Other campaigns see nothing. A character belongs to one campaign, and a draft you have not submitted is visible only to you.
One caveat worth stating plainly: a portrait you upload is stored at an unlisted web address, which means it is not indexed or linked anywhere, but anyone who has that exact link can open it. Treat a portrait as shareable, not as secret.
Your account is shared across OSRP tools
One Shot RP runs more than one character tool on the same platform. Your name and email are a single shared profile across them, so signing in here and signing in to another of our tools is the same account. Change your display name in one, and it changes in all of them. Your characters are not shared — those stay with the tool and the campaign they were made in.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your information. There is no advertising here, no tracking pixels, and no analytics of any kind. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in.
Keeping it, and getting rid of it
We keep your character while you are at the table, so you can come back to it between sessions. If you want your character or your account removed, ask your DM, or write to admin@oneshotrp.com and we will take care of it.
